Why BPA free matters
Did you know that till rolls containing BPA can’t be recycled? Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical commonly that’s been used in plastics for the past five decades, and studies have proven a link between long term BPA exposure and increased risks of various cancers and infertility.
What this means is that till rolls made with paper containing BPA, can contaminate other products and materials and worse still, release BPA into the atmosphere.
A BPA-FREE FUTURE
With more than 11 billion receipts generated each year in the UK, it’s now more important than ever to make the switch to BPA-free till rolls. The EU’s regulations restricting the use of BPA in thermal till rolls are already set to ban all thermal paper with BPA quantities over 0.02% in 2020.
BPA-FREE IS BETTER FOR PEOPLE AND THE PLANET
When it comes to doing our part to reduce waste and choose sustainable materials, EPOS Emporium is committed only selling BPA-free products. Our goal is to make sure that products like paper till rolls (used by so many businesses) and other paper products are free of harmful BPA.
